About the Author
A Shanley grad and an alumna of St. Catherine University in St. Paul, Minnesota, Marjorie received a master’s degree in higher education from Indiana University. She had careers at the University of Minnesota, as a National Sales Manager at Honeywell and as a faculty member and Vice President for External Relations at St. Catherine after serving on the University’s Board of Trustees. She was named “Outstanding Woman in Business” in 2002 by the Business Journal and “Outstanding Alumna” of St. Kate’s. Since retiring from St. Catherine in 2012, she has served on the boards of the Jeremiah Program Minneapolis-St. Paul and the Catholic Community Foundation of Minnesota.
Marjorie has spent summers on Pelican Lake since 1968. In 1999, she bought the family lake home from her parents and continued to enjoy her favorite pastimes of paddle boarding, swimming, cocktail cruises on her pontoon boat, jet skiing and just being with family. Marjorie has two daughters, two sons-in-law, and four extraordinary grandchildren. Her hope is that they love Pelican Lake as much as she does.
Marjorie is a member of Twin Cities Sisters in Crime. This is her first murder mystery.
