The Cover Artist

Marcella Rose is an artist residing in Pelican Rapids, Minnesota, just a few miles from Pelican Lake, and the owner of the Rose Gallery. Her beautiful sculpture of “The Minnesota Woman” drew Marjorie to her work. Also known for exceptional wildlife paintings, Marcella translated Marjorie’s vision of a murdered pelican for the cover of the book. Marcella’s work appeared in Southwest Art magazine’s “Essence of Wildlife” issue, February, 2016, and she was a featured artist at the North Dakota Cowboy Hall of Fame Museum in 2013. Her treatment of the eyes of wildlife is especially profound. See more of Marcella's work at marcellarose.com.
